Signs are an accpeted part of today's commercial landscape, provided that these markers and marquees are visually appealing, uncluttered and fit in with the surrounding area. A bylaw was created in 2000 to provide guidelines for the appropriate and effective use of signs in the area that is now the District of West Kelowna.
Most bylaws are periodically reviewed to ensure that they reflect modern guidelines and accepted practices and have community support. As part of the review process for Sign Bylaw No. 885, the District of West Kelowna has created a community input survey.
Before going to the survey, please read over Sign Bylaw No. 885. You will also be asked to refer to the map below. We encourage you to keep the documents open on your desktop, for reference purposes, while you complete the survey.
Please complete the survey by November 12, 2012.
Thank you for your input.
If you would prefer to complete a paper copy, instead of the online version, the survey can be picked up at Municipal Hall at 2760 Cameron Road, West Kelowna, BC. Completed paper surveys can be submitted in the following ways:
In person to: Municipal Hall, Attention Jaleen Rousseau @ 2760 Cameron Road, West Kelowna, BC;
