Boucherie Road Opened
Boucherie Road in West Kelowna has been reopened between Hayman and Stuart Roads after being closed for construction since July 3, 2012. The upper sections of the road will require a top layer of asphalt, which will be placed in the spring of 2013. The District of West Kelowna will notify motorists prior to the restart of construction, which will last one to two weeks.
Rollingdale Winery on Hayman Road and the Esso, Mac’s convenience store, Subway, and Friends Pub at Boucherie and Hayman Roads are fully accessible. All local wineries may also now be accessed via Boucherie Road.
The District of West Kelowna would like to thank the public for their patience during construction.
During most of the summer and part of the fall of 2012, Boucherie Road was upgraded to the District of West Kelowna’s new Wine Route Standard. Sewers, water works, drainage upgrades, sidewalks, cycling lanes, retaining walls and landscaped medians are being constructed as part of the $3.6 million project.
