THE FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Concerning the property/properties located at: 2994 Shannon Place
(Lot 7, DL 2599, ODYD, Plan 42286)
The intent of the proposed amendment is to discharge Land Use Contract (LUC) 149 from the subject property only enabling the underlying Single Detached Housing (R1) zone to automatically apply. This request has been made in order to legalize an existing secondary suite.
"District of West Kelowna Land Use Contract Discharge Bylaw 2012 No. 149" was given first and second readings on December 11, 2012. The Municipal Council will meet to hear and receive submissions from all persons who believe that their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaws at:

As an owner or tenant-in-occupation of property within 100 metres of the subject property, you are being advised of the proposed bylaw amendment. Should someone other than yourself occupy your property, we would appreciate being advised of the name and address of the said occupant so that they may be informed of the proposed changes.
Copies of the bylaw, studies, council reports and submissions received as a result of this notification may be reviewed at the offices of the District of West Kelowna Development Services Division during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) on January 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, and 22, 2013. Council reports and bylaws may also be accessed through the District of West Kelowna website at www.districtofwestkelowna.ca by keying “council reports” into the search field.

All submissions must be made to ATTN: CITY CLERK and be received by 4:00 p.m. on the business day prior to the public hearing.
(1) Reference, in the subject line of any submission, the bylaw number(s) of the proposed amendment(s); and
(2) Include the name and address of the person making the submission.
Any correspondence or written submission received after the 4:00 p.m. deadline will not be circulated to Council. Submissions may be presented to Council at the Public Hearing by the person making the submission or their representative.
Submissions received after the 4:00 p.m. deadline or at the Public Hearing and including the name(s) of the individual submitting correspondence become part of the public record.
Please be advised that all submissions will be made available to the public as part of the bylaw amendment process. Submissions should be signed by each individual and show the address and/or legal description of the property he or she believes would be affected by the proposal outlined above.
