Summer 2010 Update
Mayor and Council have reviewed the District of West Kelowna's new Official Community Plan (OCP) and staff are making final amendments based on this important feedback.
After completing these requested text and mapping amendments (see Schedule 1 and 2 for DRAFT OCP Mapping Update), staff look forward to presenting the Official Community Plan to the public and partner agencies for final comment. This referral process is expected to start within the next several weeks.
Community involvement makes up the heart of any OCP review and the District of West Kelowna would like to thank residents and stakeholders for their significant and useful feedback and comments to date.
The OCP is about defining directions for the District. These directions will guide West Kelowna's future development and meet its needs for many years to come. They will also help to cement West Kelowna as an even more desirable place to live, play, work and invest in the future.
