The Parks Division is responsible for managing over 125 parks in over 120 hectares. The services provided by Parks include general park land maintenance, urban forestry (pine beetle), sport field maintenance, community beautification, district wide signage, playgrounds, outdoor recreation facilities, waterfront park construction, outdoor district infrastructure management and park planning.

Park Classifications will provide a general guideline for you for the park theme. Please refer to the following parks classifications in conjunction with your area. Parks are split into six classifications described as: Athletic, Community, Linear, Neighborhood, Open Space and Waterfront.
