As a new municipality, the District of West Kelowna is actively pursuing initiatives for the betterment of the community. At the heart of any successful and vibrant community is affordable housing. Affordable housing provides safe and affordable places to live all of the District's residents from all walks of life. As such, West Kelowna staff and City Spaces Consulting are completing an Affordable Housing Strategy that responds to Council's strategic priority of growth management.

Between October 28th and November 13th, 2009, a survey was conducted by the District of West Kelowna to investigate community members’ views about area housing conditions and opinions about affordable housing. There were 212 responses to the survey: 194 online and 18 hardcopy (paper) responses. Here are the results.
