West Kelowna's municipal police force consists of 20 members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, who work out of the West Kelowna RCMP Detachment at 2390 Dobbin Road.

The District of West Kelowna also employs several support staff to assist the RCMP with duties including reception and administration. In addition to these support staff, a team of volunteers assists the municipal force, running community policing programs such as Citizens Patrol and Speed Watch.
West Kelowna RCMP is also a partner in Crime Stoppers.
An additional 25 provincial RCMP officers are based out of the West Kelowna RCMP Detachment. These officers police Peachland, the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area, Highway 97C/Okanagan Connector to Sunset Main, Okanagan Lake from Peachland to Lake Okanagan Resort, and rural areas on the east side of Okanagan Lake including: Big White, Ellison and Joe Rich. Three of the 25 officers are dedicated to First Nations policing.
West Kelowna's RCMP officers and the 25 provincial RCMP officers work closely together to ensure all policing calls are addressed in a timely, professional and seamless manner.
