Engineering Services is responsible for the design and construction of the District of West Kelowna's infrastructure, including:

  • Roads and Sidewalks
  • Sanitary Sewer
  • Storm Sewer
  • Transit Service
  • Water

The Engineering Division is also responsible for the rehabilitation and improvement of infrastructure, including the review and coordination of servicing for new development and forecasting future infrastructure requirements.

The District of West Kelowna is proud of the advances made, with assistance from departments such as Engineering Services, since the municipality incorporated in December 2007.

MUNICIPAL PARTNERS

The District of West Kelowna works closely with its partner groups on the delivery of regional and sub regional services, including but not limited to, Regional Transit, the Westside Residential Waste and Recycling Transfer Station and the Westside Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Partners in these services include:

Senior government partners include the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, BC Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development and Western Economic Diversification Canada.

The Department will also work with agencies such as: the Interior Health Authority to address water issues; and the Insurance Corporation of BC and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to resolve traffic related matters.
