West Kelowna Fire Rescue has four fire halls to serve the District of West Kelowna. The fleet of trucks currently includes four engines, two squads, two pumps, one ladder, one rescue and one tender. Since the Westside Fire Protection District was formed in 1981, the fire department has responded to an ever increasing number of calls. In 2009 fire fighters responded to 2541 calls, an increase of 306 from 2008. |
